ADT Launches Wireless Surveillance Camera System in St. Louis’ Most Dangerous Neighborhoods

By Matt Frowert, on August 12, 2011

ADT representatives took part in a widely covered media event on Tuesday August 9th, joining St. Louis Alderman Antonio French, Police Chief Dan Isom and Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce in unveiling a new wireless video surveillance system that’s been installed in the city’s historically highest-crime 21st Ward. Dan Schroeder, Vice President of Sales for ADT Commercial participated alongside some of the most prominent community leaders for the ribbon cutting ceremony, which included a demonstration of the high-tech cameras and a tour of a new “command center” where law enforcement will monitor video feeds.

This project was initiated in the Fall of 2010, when the St. Louis Board of Public Service selected ADT Commercial to build the security camera system.
“We were honored to be chosen for such an important assignment for one of America’s great cities,” Schroeder remarked to reporters, “This state-of-the-art system utilizes the highest quality cameras. The advanced technology in these cameras will enable them to quickly detect events or crimes and automatically focus in on these areas of concern. These are innovative tools that can help local officials respond to threats fast.”

The launch garnered a wide range of media coverage, including articles in the City’s major newspaper, and stories on all major TV stations.

Congradulations to the ADT team in St. Louis!
